Our supply chain has developed into a real partnership over the last few years. All of our produce is grown to programme and we take responsibility for its welfare at every stage of the process. Our core grower, TBG took its name from the two families who merged their business in 2000, the Tompsett's and the Burgess's. Both families remain committed to the constant development of one of the country's leading supply chains.
To ensure that we deliver not only high quality, but risk free product, our Traceability System is extremely thorough. If you were to select any one of the 75million plus packs that we produce in a year, we would be able to tell you:
- Where the seed came from.
- Who grew it.
- When they grew it.
- In which field they grew it.
- When the produce was harvested - (What time on what day).
- Which vehicle the produce travelled on.
- When the produce was received at our site.
- When the produce was washed, graded and packed.
- On what line it was packed.
- Who was working on the line.
- When the finished pack was dispatched.
- When it arrived at the customer.
- What condition it was in on arrival.
All of these details can usually be achieved within two hours of starting a product search.
Control of the whole supply chain from seed purchasing, to customer, allows the company to offer high quality products and guaranteed freshness, 52 weeks of the year.
